In recent years, Da Nang's innovation and startup ecosystem has continued to grow strongly, attracting increasing attention from investment funds, startup support organizations, and the domestic and international startup community. Building on the success of previous editions, the Da Nang Angel and Venture Investment Summit 2026 (DAVAS 2026) is scheduled to take place from May 25–27, 2026 in Da Nang City. The event is expected to become an important destination connecting investment capital with innovative startup projects.
Highlights from DAVAS 2025 and expectations for DAVAS 2026
Following the success of DAVAS 2025, the summit left a strong impression by bringing together more than 20 domestic and international investment funds with total assets under management reaching $3.5 billion, along with the participation of over 60 experts and speakers from Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, the United States, Germany, and India; launching the Da Nang Innovation Center – Greater Bay Area; hosting an exhibition with 40 innovation startup booths; and announcing and signing 11 Memoranda of Understanding (MOU).
Startups also had the opportunity to pitch directly to investment funds.
Beyond sharing investment trends and startup development experience, DAVAS created favorable conditions for innovation startups to present ideas, connect with investors, and expand international partnerships. At DAVAS 2025, 36 startup projects participated in pitching sessions, with many projects receiving initial interest from investors and continuing discussions after the event.
These results have played an important role in positioning Da Nang as an attractive destination for international investors and startups, while advancing the city's goal of becoming the region's leading innovation hub.
Breakthrough expectations at DAVAS 2026
Built on these positive results, DAVAS 2026 is expected to create breakthroughs in both the scale and depth of investment connections.
The number of participating investment funds is expected to double compared to 2025, with prestigious international funds such as Quest Ventures, Genesia Ventures, Makara Capital, Vertex Ventures, TRIVE, Sunwah Innovations, Universal Materials Incubator Co. Ltd, Daiwa Corporate Investment Co. Ltd, Z Venture Capital, along with other venture capital funds and angel investors. This expansion is expected to significantly increase investment resources for startups, broaden access to capital, and accelerate project development.
DAVAS 2026 also features participation from organizations building and developing the innovation ecosystem, including Kilsa Global, Gima Group, Aeternum Consulting Ltd., Republic Polytechnic, Belkin Marketing, along with representatives of startup support organizations, incubators, innovation centers, and ecosystem stakeholders from many countries and territories.
The diversity of participants not only enhances startup access to capital but also strengthens knowledge exchange, sharing international experience, and promoting the sustainable development and global integration of Da Nang's innovation ecosystem.
Additionally, the number of startup projects registering to pitch is expected to triple compared to last year. This will increase competitiveness, requiring startups to better prepare their business models, technology, and market strategies. Beyond quantity, the quality of participating startups is also expected to improve significantly thanks to a rigorous selection process and structured preparation. Notably, startups will receive pre-event training from experts and investors to enhance fundraising capabilities, refine products, and increase success rates in pitching sessions.
The simultaneous increase in both the number of investment funds and the quality of startups is expected to make DAVAS 2026 one of the most influential startup investment summits in the region, bringing Da Nang closer to its goal of becoming the region's innovation hub.
Program highlights
The event will take place over three days (May 25–27, 2026), with a series of key activities:
- DAVAS Champion Golf Tournament and Welcome Party, creating connection opportunities among investors, entrepreneurs, and the startup community
- Web3 Builders' Summit 2026, discussing emerging technology trends such as blockchain, Web3, and digital assets
- Pre-DAVAS Landing Program, bringing together policymakers, investors, and businesses to discuss strategic positioning and regional expansion from Da Nang
- On-site exhibition and technology demonstration, with over 50 booths expected to showcase innovative products and solutions
- Da Nang Angel and Venture Investment Summit 2026 (DAVAS 2026), where startups present ideas to domestic and international investors
The main activities are expected to be held at the Ariyana Da Nang International Convention Center, one of the city's largest conference venues.
