CD RESTOP works with DTH Holdings and the Coro Energy Investment Fund: Expanding cooperation opportunities for the green rest-stop model with integrated charging infrastructure

Ho Chi Minh City, August 5, 2026 – At the headquarters of SPT Group (Saigon Postel Corporation), CD RESTOP representatives held a working session with DTH Holdings and the Coro Energy Investment Fund to discuss the direction of cooperation in developing the CD RESTOP rest-stop network, integrating the Scharge electric-vehicle charging infrastructure solution on site.

A rest stop is more than just a place to pause

At the working session, CD RESTOP representatives presented the overall new-generation rest-stop model – a place that simultaneously brings together four layers of value: utility services for passengers and drivers, clean energy infrastructure, a commercial and cultural space rooted in local identity, and a smart operational data platform.

Unlike the traditional rest-stop model, which draws revenue solely from food-and-beverage services and fuel, CD RESTOP is designed around a multi-revenue structure in which the electric-vehicle charging infrastructure serves both as an essential service and as an anchor that retains customer traffic and extends dwell time at the site.

The Scharge solution was presented as an energy component integrated directly into the master plan of each rest stop, comprising a charging-station system, rooftop solar power, a battery energy storage system (BESS) and synchronized light-current electrical infrastructure. This approach optimizes initial investment costs, ensures proactive control over the power supply and improves operating efficiency per square meter of land.

Partners commend the model's feasibility and scalability

DTH Holdings representatives praised the practicality of the CD RESTOP model, particularly its ability to be deployed in modules – allowing flexible expansion according to the land scale and traffic density of each location, rather than depending on a fixed investment template.

On the part of the Coro Energy Investment Fund, the topics of interest focused on the cash-flow structure, the payback period and the readiness of the legal and technical infrastructure at the intended deployment sites. The fund's representatives noted that the model is well aligned with the green energy infrastructure investment trend currently being prioritized across Southeast Asia.

On that basis, the parties expressed their willingness to accompany CD RESTOP in the next phase and agreed to continue discussions to concretize the scope of cooperation.

SPT Group's connecting role

Holding the working session at SPT Group underscores the role of telecommunications and technology infrastructure in the overall architecture of the smart rest-stop model. The connectivity, transmission and technical infrastructure platform is the foundational condition for operating the charging system, managing energy and harnessing journey data at each site.

Next steps

Following the working session, the parties plan to continue carrying out site surveys, finalizing the technical and financial plan for the pilot site and discussing a suitable investment cooperation structure.

CD RESTOP representatives affirmed a consistent direction: building a network of green, smart and sustainable rest stops that contributes to the green transition of Vietnam's transport sector while creating an investment model with clear economic efficiency for accompanying partners.
