Hà Nội, afternoon of 8 September: CD Restop builds booth TF-01 at TechFuture 2026 — and the Advisory and Evaluation Council has just been announced

On the afternoon of 8 September 2026, while Ho Chi Minh City prepared for tomorrow's strategic partnership signing ceremony, another CD Restop team was in Hà Nội, under the steel roof trusses of Hall 4 at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) in Đông Anh. There, CD Restop's technology booth at TechFuture 2026, designated TF-01, was going up one panel at a time.

The photograph was taken with the job only half done. Three standees stand in a straight line. CD Restop's large backdrop still lies on the floor, lettering reversed, waiting to be lifted into place. The lighting rig is already hung, two LED screens are being wired, one technician bends over a bucket of tools, another walks past holding up a phone to take a picture. There is nothing ceremonial about this image — and that is precisely why we chose it.

Three standees, one row

Read from left to right, the three standees tell three stories placed side by side within the same strategic technology zone of TechFuture 2026, under the same tagline «Strategic Technology – Leading the Future» (the middle panel carries the Vietnamese version, «Công nghệ chiến lược – Dẫn dắt tương lai»):

• TF-05 · Strace — «Traceability services», presented as a nationally connected traceability platform spanning processing plants, transport and logistics, all the way to scanning a verification code on a phone; the access address printed on the standee is txng.spt.vn.
• TF-03 · VPS-ion — «Vietnam Energy», carrying the message of building a green energy ecosystem for the future, illustrated with lithium battery models and a panel on «8 benefits of lithium batteries».
• TF-01 · CD Restop — «Building Social Infrastructure»: pioneering a nationwide ecosystem of five-star rest stops that integrate EV charging stations, community amenities and sustainable social-welfare solutions. Beneath the rest stop rendering are six icons: rest stop, EV charging station, convenience store, billboard and digital advertising, clean energy, community.

The three panels standing together is no coincidence. Traceability, energy storage and the rest stop are three pieces of the same story: goods travelling the road need to be known for where they come from, the vehicles carrying them need clean energy, and the drivers need a decent place to stop. A visitor walking the length of this row of standees sees one complete journey — from factory to dinner table — rather than three unrelated booths.

One week, two cities

For CD Restop, this is a week of two venues more than a thousand kilometres apart. On 9 September, at Kỳ Hòa Bến Thành Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, comes the strategic partnership signing ceremony with SPT Group and its partners. On 10 and 11 September, at Hall 4 of VEC Đông Anh in Hà Nội, come two days of exhibition and networking at TechFuture 2026.

The build crew got to Hà Nội first. Their work has no stage: pulling cable, levelling screens, adjusting the angle of each light, taping every edge of the backdrop until it sits flush. But on the morning of 10 September, when visitors walk into Hall 4, everything they see at booth TF-01 will have begun on this afternoon.

The TechFuture 2026 Advisory and Evaluation Council

Also on 8 September, the TechFuture 2026 Organising Committee officially announced its Advisory and Evaluation Council — the people who will advise on and assess the technologies and solutions presented at the event, CD Restop's among them. According to the announcement on TechFuture's official Facebook page:

• Council Advisor: Mr Nguyễn Khắc Lâm — Deputy Director of the Nghệ An Provincial Department of Science and Technology.
• Council Chairman: Mr Hoàng Văn Ngọc — Chairman of the Board, KTS Group – KTS Holdings.
• Council Members: Mr Võ Hải Quang — Head of Technology Management, Nghệ An Provincial Department of Science and Technology; Ms Dương Thị Thu Nga — Deputy Head of Digital Economy, Hà Nội Department of Science and Technology; Ms Hứa Thùy Trang — Director of Enterprise Partnerships, BK Holdings, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, WIPO IP Local Expert – IPMC Program; Mr Kiều Công Thược — Chairman of the Board, Vietnam Startup and Innovation Fund – VNFund; Mr Nguyễn Hữu Phú — Chairman of Phong Vũ Group.

The Organising Committee set out three evaluation criteria, and they are the three questions CD Restop will have to answer before the Council: what real-world problem this technology solves; how far it can be deployed and scaled; and whether the value it creates is convincing enough for the market, investors and partners. For a model that puts the words «social welfare» in its very name, the answer is not on the standee — it lies in how many drivers actually get to rest at a real rest stop.
