Da Nang, May 6, 2026 – Within the framework of the VIETBUILD Da Nang 2026 International Exhibition held from May 6–10, 2026 at the Da Nang Exhibition Center (09 Cach Mang Thang Tam, Cam Le Ward), the CD RESTOP Company representative held a working session and partnered with the Secretary-General of the Vietnam Automobile, Motorcycle and Bicycle Manufacturers Association (VAMOBA) to concretize the strategy of developing the EV infrastructure network in green zones at key tourism cities across the country.
The event marks a new step forward in realizing Vietnam's COP26 commitments, while opening a phase of deeper cooperation between the professional organization representing the vehicle industry and the pioneering enterprise building the green rest stop ecosystem.
VAMOBA – Connecting the vehicle industry for Net Zero goal
The Vietnam Automobile, Motorcycle and Bicycle Manufacturers Association (VAMOBA) is a social-professional organization gathering manufacturing, assembly, business, and service enterprises related to the vehicle industry in Vietnam. The Association's headquarters is located on the 14th floor, Zen Tower, 12 Khuat Duy Tien, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi.
VAMOBA acts as a bridge between state management agencies and the business community, while actively participating in building and providing feedback on national technical policies. In recent months, the Association has attended many key events: appraisal of National Technical Regulations on engines and batteries of motorcycles, electric mopeds; attending the 24th North China International Bicycle and Electric Vehicle Exhibition in Tianjin; organizing a delegation to the China-ASEAN Summit 2025; and most recently witnessing the inauguration of the Xupai Tay Ninh Factory – one of the large-scale electric vehicle production projects of association members.
Notably, VAMOBA has set a strategic goal: by 2027, 100% of Association members will have electric vehicle products, and by 2035, the entire industry will be 100% converted to electric vehicles. This is a strong commitment, in line with the Government's direction on global EV exports and the roadmap to limit fossil-fuel vehicles in major cities — typified by Hanoi passing a resolution to ban gasoline motorcycles within Ring 1 from July 1, 2026.
The Secretary-General of VAMOBA personally accompanying CD RESTOP at VIETBUILD Da Nang 2026 demonstrates the close connection between two axes: the EV supply axis (represented by the Association) and the operational infrastructure axis (deployed by CD RESTOP).
CD RESTOP – National rest stop ecosystem integrating EV infrastructure
CD RESTOP positions itself as a pioneer building and operating a chain of next-generation rest stops in Vietnam, simultaneously integrating functions: rest – clean fuel refueling – utility services – local cultural experience. Unlike the traditional rest stop model, each RESTOP point is designed as a "green interchange" in the national traffic network, with the core being a fast DC charging station system, EV parking, EV rental services, and a local commerce-cuisine area.
At VIETBUILD Da Nang 2026, the CD RESTOP representative presented to the Secretary-General of VAMOBA the company's key work axes:
First, expanding the national rest stop network. CD RESTOP is deploying a chain of locations on key expressways and national highways, in combination with strategic partners in EV charging and electric vehicle rental. Among these, comprehensive cooperation agreements have been signed with EVIA Hoan Cau Xanh on two axes: DC charging infrastructure and EV rental fleet. Additionally, CD RESTOP also collaborates with partners in green insurance, instant logistics, smart technology, and renewable energy to complete the service ecosystem at each point.
Second, connecting with the VAMOBA member network. Partnering with VAMOBA opens opportunities for CD RESTOP to become an integrated distribution, experience and after-sales service channel for EV products manufactured by Association members – from electric cars, electric motorcycles to electric bicycles. Each RESTOP point can become an open showroom introducing "Made in Vietnam" EVs to millions of travelers each year, while providing quick maintenance, battery swapping, and technical support on long journeys.
Third, developing local value-added chains. Each rest stop is linked to the "Welfare – Connection – Localization" strategy: supporting agricultural-regional products to access the tourism market, creating jobs for local workers, and creating community spaces of cultural value.
Deploying EV infrastructure in green zones at tourism cities
One of the strategic contents agreed by CD RESTOP and VAMOBA at VIETBUILD Da Nang 2026 is the plan to deploy EV infrastructure in Low Emission Zones at key tourism cities – places with high international tourist volume and strict requirements on air quality and urban experience.
Cities in the priority deployment group include: Da Nang, Hue, Hoi An, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Da Lat, Sa Pa, Ha Long, Can Tho, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hanoi. Each city will be developed according to a standard infrastructure module of four layers:
- Core layer – Fast DC charging stations and battery swapping stations: arranged at transportation hubs, green zone gateways, and commercial-tourism centers, ensuring optimal service radius for both EVs and electric two-wheelers.
- Service layer – Tourism EV rental fleet: providing emission-free mobility solutions for tourists within green inner-city zones, combined with each locality's cultural-ecological tours.
- Digitization layer – Charging booking, vehicle booking, and interoperable payment applications: integrating real-time operational data, connected to smart urban management systems.
- Public-private coordination layer: working with local governments to define green zone boundaries, plan station locations, and develop preferential policies for EVs manufactured by VAMOBA members.
Da Nang has been selected as the "strategic pilot city" for this model. With modern transport infrastructure, sustainable green tourism development orientation, and the organization of VIETBUILD Da Nang 2026 — an event gathering nearly 1,000 booths focusing on green transportation and sustainable building materials — Da Nang meets all conditions to become a model spreading throughout the Central Coast and Central Highlands.
Vision: Connect – Resonate – Spread
Speaking at the event, the CD RESTOP representative emphasized: cooperation with VAMOBA is not just a bilateral agreement, but an important piece in the overall picture of Vietnam's transport industry green transition. When the EV supply is ensured by VAMOBA members, the rest stop-charging-service infrastructure is deployed by CD RESTOP, and policy support comes from state management agencies and local governments, a closed ecosystem will form — capable of bringing the green transition into the real life of citizens and tourists.
Within the framework of VIETBUILD Da Nang 2026, the two parties also agreed on a plan to coordinate a series of activities in the second half of 2026: organizing a business forum on green transport infrastructure; signing memoranda of cooperation with tourism cities; building a set of operating standards for rest stops integrating EV infrastructure; and co-organizing "Made in Vietnam" EV experience events at the first RESTOP points to come into operation.
CD RESTOP believes that, with the strategic accompaniment of VAMOBA and ecosystem partners, every rest stop on the Vietnamese journey will not just be a resting place — but a substantive link in Vietnam's progress toward Net Zero by 2050.
