On the morning of May 13, the Son Tra Ward Party Committee, in coordination with the Da Nang City Innovation Startup Support Center, organized a symposium to exchange ideas on establishing the Son Tra innovation district.
This is a proactive, necessary step toward implementing the city's policy on accelerating digital transformation and developing the startup ecosystem.
The Son Tra innovation district is planned to be located around Le Van Duyet Street and Golden Bay, connecting to the Vietnam International Financial Center in Da Nang. This will be a space for connecting ideas and resources between government, businesses, and the community.
The proposed implementation roadmap consists of 3 phases: Phase 1 (2026) will activate and pilot the establishment; Phase 2 (2027-2028) will focus on expansion and investment, infrastructure development; Phase 3 (2028-2030) will complete the space ecosystem, positioning the brand as an "International Innovation District".
At the program, after listening to socio-economic development orientations and ideas for establishing the Son Tra innovation district, participants exchanged and discussed contents related to: areas to maximize local advantages; building smart infrastructure and creating an environment attractive to high-quality human resources; ensuring technological development goes hand-in-hand with conservation of natural values and the cultural identity of Son Tra; the linkage between State – Schools – Enterprises…
Through this, the locality has more information for building and implementing policies and actions to enhance digital capacity for citizens, contributing to sustainable development goals through digital transformation and innovation.
