📋 Article outline
Under the cooperation agreement, SPT — as the brand owner and product supplier — will be responsible for the Scharge charger line and its accompanying technical solutions, while CD Restop acts as the distributor and directly deploys, installs and integrates the chargers into its chain of social rest stops and its nationwide partner network.
The Scharge charger currently comes in three main product lines, meeting a wide range of needs from urban stops to inter-provincial rest stations: SC14 (14 kW), SC80 (80 kW) and SC160 (160 kW) — all equipped with dual charging guns, suitable for both private vehicles and electric passenger transport.
The pairing of the two sides is seen as highly complementary. SPT is a group with deep experience in postal, telecommunications and infrastructure, with technological capabilities and a network spanning many provinces and cities. CD Restop, meanwhile, positions itself as a platform for developing social infrastructure land, with a chain of rest stops integrating charging stations, food and beverage, retail and amenities. "Plugging" SPT's Scharge products into CD Restop's rest-stop system makes it possible to significantly shorten the time needed to roll out charging stations and to build a network along key transport corridors.
According to a CD Restop representative, this cooperation is part of a strategy to bring charging infrastructure closer to people and transport businesses, especially as electric vehicles — from private cars to buses and shuttle vehicles — are growing rapidly. The goal is to build a convenient, safe charging network located exactly where it is needed: rest stops, depots, inter-provincial routes and urban gateway areas.
For SPT, expanding Scharge distribution through CD Restop's rest-stop network helps the brand reach the market quickly, while giving concrete shape to its ambition to take part in the energy infrastructure for green transport.
In the initial phase, the two sides plan to select a number of pilot locations with suitable traffic volume and electrical infrastructure conditions for installation, operation and performance evaluation, before scaling up nationwide according to a roadmap. Alongside the equipment, the cooperation package also aims for synchronization in installation, charging management software and after-sales service, in order to ensure a stable user experience.
The cooperation between CD Restop and SPT is expected to contribute to Vietnam's green vehicle transition, while opening up a model of linkage between a telecommunications–technology infrastructure business and a social rest-stop development business.
