Alongside Diamond Sponsor Coro Energy and Gold Sponsor XECO, CD Restop is pleased to introduce Amigo Entertainment Company — Silver Sponsor of the strategic cooperation signing ceremony on 9 September 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City.
This is the name that makes the ceremony's list of partners unusual. The other two sponsors both come from the energy sector. Amigo Entertainment comes from an altogether different world: theatre and cinema.
Who Amigo Entertainment is
Amigo Entertainment is a company operating in the entertainment sector — producing artistic programmes in theatre and cinema, while also investing in and developing a roster of exclusive actors and singers. The company's brand identity uses the symbol of a disco ball set within a strip of film, together with the slogan “Set Future”.
The company is led by two people who know the trade: Chairman — director Nguyễn Hoàng Vũ, and General Director (CEO) — Ms Annie Nguyễn. In interviews with the domestic press, Ms Annie Nguyễn has said that Amigo's aim is to support, train and nurture young Vietnamese artistic talent.
The company has already been present in student cultural life: according to the press, Amigo Entertainment was the Diamond Sponsor of the 2024 Student Singing Festival of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City, whose final round was held at the Student Cultural House, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City, with Ms Annie Nguyễn sitting as a guest judge.
A relationship stated plainly
There is one detail CD Restop wishes to disclose directly rather than leave readers to discover for themselves: Ms Annie Nguyễn — General Director (CEO) of Amigo Entertainment — is at the same time Chairwoman of CD Restop's Board of Directors.
Amigo Entertainment and CD Restop are therefore related parties under Viet Nam's Law on Enterprises. We disclose this relationship within the sponsor introduction itself, in accordance with the principle of public disclosure of related-party transactions. In the programme of 9 September, Amigo Entertainment is named and honoured strictly according to the agreed Silver-tier entitlements. The sponsorship is carried out in accordance with the event's common sponsorship tier schedule, with no separate terms.
At the ceremony, Ms Annie Nguyễn will deliver a thematic address on social welfare in her capacity as Chairwoman of CD Restop's Board of Directors — the segment devoted to the workers that the network of rest stops is intended to serve.
“Em đẹp em có quyền” (roughly, “She's Beautiful, She Has the Right”) — the film project of Amigo's two leaders
Amigo's two leaders are currently pursuing together a theatrical feature film titled “Em đẹp em có quyền”: director Nguyễn Hoàng Vũ behind the camera, with Ms Annie Nguyễn in the role of producer.
The project has a long history. The domestic press already mentioned this title in 2017, when director Nguyễn Hoàng Vũ — previously known for the stage play “Xin lỗi, em chỉ là…” — announced the screenplay and held casting, with a planned cinema release in 2018. The film then lay dormant. In 2025, the project was restarted.
According to articles published in May and June 2025, the production held two rounds of casting in Ho Chi Minh City; according to an announcement dated 17.6.2025, more than 15 performers were selected, among them singer Ngọc Ánh along with a number of young actors. The selection panel comprised the director, the producer and guest artists; actors Huy Khánh and Tường Vi took on the role of acting advisers. Filming was expected to begin at the end of 2025 and to reach cinemas during 2026 — as of the time of this article, an official release date has not been announced by the producer.
The film's story revolves around life on social media: lonely characters seeking fame, personal image distorted under the gaze of the crowd and the pressure of the algorithm, and the price paid behind a virtual halo.
CD Restop holds no capital contribution, provides no sponsorship and has no interest whatsoever in this film project.
Why a film company stands beside an infrastructure project
The question is a fair one, and the answer lies in no contract at all — at present, the relationship between the two parties is a sponsorship relationship for one event.
But looked at closely, the two stories are not as far apart as they appear. A rest stop is not only charging posts and a canopy; it is also an information screen, a multi-purpose room, a place for people to sit together after long hours on the road. Once the infrastructure is built, it still needs something to fill it — and that something is content, cultural activity, stories.
The reverse is also true. The film Amigo is making speaks of the price of living by the gaze of others; CD Restop's project speaks of the workers whom few ever look at. The two subjects stand at the two ends of the same question: who, in the end, does society keep an eye on, and who does it not.
9 September
Representatives of Amigo Entertainment will be present at Central Palace (Ky Hoa Ben Thanh Hotel), 39 – 39A Nguyen Trung Truc Street, Ben Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City for the CD Restop strategic cooperation signing ceremony, 16:00 – 20:30 on Wednesday 9 September 2026. The ceremony includes a segment honouring the sponsors during the evening programme.
CD Restop sincerely thanks Amigo Entertainment for agreeing to accompany the event, and thanks all three sponsors — Coro Energy, XECO and Amigo Entertainment — together with the organiser Giang Sơn Việt, for helping to bring the ceremony about.
